UP to 5,000 Inishowen fans will head to Croke Park this weekend for Donegal’s All-Ireland semi-final showdown against Dublin.
With tickets at a premium across the peninsula, local clubs sold out their allocations with a total of around 20,000 fans from across the county expected to make the journey to GAA Headquarters to cheer on Jim McGuinness’ men.
With the peninsula in the grip of a Donegal GAA buzz, there are flags, bunting, banners, painted bulls and green and gold sheep all wishing the team luck.
Sunday afternoon will be an extra-special one for local youth Denver Kelly, from Tooban, who will represent Donegal in the Mini-7s Go Games at half-time. The young athlete won a gold medal at the Community Games in Athlone last weekend and is hoping Donegal will strike gold against the Dubs.
A fiercely divided family from Carn are also making the trip to the capital, with daughters Aoibhin, Caitriona and Niamh Nolan failing to convince their Dublin dad Mark to shout for Donegal.
Buncrana supporters will be cheering extra loudly with hometown hero Ryan Bradley flying the flag for Inishowen in the biggest match of his life.

Thousands of GAA fans are also expected to watch the big game at home this weekend with many local bars showing the action on giant screens.
