INISHOWEN has basked in double-digit temperatures
all this week with the warm spell expected to last
until at least the weekend.
Temperatures are currently hovering around a
pleasant 17 degrees but are forecast to go even
higher in the next few days. Beaches around the
peninsula are seeing an influx of sunbathers, picnic
lovers and children with buckets and spades. |

The warm spell began at
the start of the week with the mercury creeping up
every day.
Temperatures are forecast to reach 20-21 degrees by
week’s end with a warm and pleasant Easter likely.
This will be welcome news for shops and businesses
with visitors and locals out in force.
Easter Sunday is also expected to be warm and sunny
although there is a slight chance of rain in some
parts of the county.
The good weather may begin to come to an end by
Monday with a slight drop in temperatures and a
greater chance of some rain. Meanwhile, the forecast
for most of next week is for cloudy weather with
temperatures about 15 degrees.
The temperatures currently being experienced
coast-to-coast in the peninsula are more normal for
June than mid April. |
