NAMA has put 15 Donegal
developments including two golf courses and a
nursing home up for sale
in the biggest bargain fire sale in the history of
the State.
The 15 properties around the county, including
Inishowen, are among some 850 blocks of real estate
assets the bad bank put on the market yesterday.
The Donegal assets for sale include a development,
commenced but not finished, in Carrownamaddy, Burt;
a development, not commenced in Ard Ban, Muff and
two developments in Ballyhaskey, Newtowncunningham.
Elsewhere in the county the NAMA sell-off includes
two golf courses at Sheephaven Bay, Carrigart;
Letterkenny developments in Carnamuggagh (nursing
home),
Ballymacool, Loughnagin and Windy Heights; the Blue
Cedars development in Ballybofey and one in Cappry,
Ballybofey; an unstarted development in Liscooley,
Castlefin and one at Doonan, Donegal Town. There is
also an unstarted development for sale by NAMA in
Townparks, Raphoe. Across the border, NAMA has put
bargain assets up for sale in Drumahoe, Coleraine
and Portstewart.
NAMA released its annual report this week revealing
that it is owed €72 billion by borrowers from
Ireland and abroad. It has generated €2.6 billion
from sales and rental income so far and has lent
€900 million in working capital to developers to
finish off projects. The agency has so far spent
€46m in fees including legal, auditing and tax. |
