DONEGAL has scooped
again after one lucky man picked up a life-changing
€350,000 at Lottery HQ today.
The cheque - €350,057 to be precise - was the Lotto
Plus 1 prize from last Wednesday, March 16. He also
matched four numbers in last night’s Lotto draw to
win €49. His lucky multi-draw ticket was bought in
Centra, Dunfanaghy.
The regular player, who requested anonymity, could
not believe his luck when he checked his ticket on
Aertel earlier this week. “My wife did not believe
me when I told her we had won, she had to check the
numbers herself before she believed it.”
The lucky winner now plans to pay off all his debts
with his new-found fortune. Meanwhile, Inch woman,
Kathleen Robb, has been drawn to appear on 'Winning
Streak' this Saturday. She is the second Inishowen
person to appear on the show in the past three
weeks. Illies woman Angela Devlin scooped €60,000
euro recently. Now Kathleen will be vying for the
top prize of €500,000 with around €30,000 definitely
up for grabs.
Saturday’s Lotto jackpot is now heading for €14
million. Since the National Lottery was launched,
over €3.4 billion has been raised for charitable
causes in the areas of youth, sports, recreation,
health, arts, culture and the Irish language. |
