BUNCRANA Hearts
Football Club has announced its management team for
the forthcoming Ulster Senior League season.
Phil Brady will continue as manager this season.
Phil’s backroom team will consist of: Matt Plummer,
assistant manager and goalkeeping coach; Marty
McCann, first team coach and Seamus Fox, fitness
coach.
Marty McCann has played with Derry City in the
League of Ireland, as well as Irish League sides
Institute, Cliftonville and Ards. He acted as Paul
Hegarty’s assistant manager at Finn Harps in the
League of Ireland. He gained his UEFA Pro License
last year, and is delighted to join the Hearts.
Phil Brady said: “The club is delighted to get both
Marty and Matt on board. Both are proven top quality
coaches who will bring a wealth of knowledge and
experience to Buncrana Hearts Football Club.
"Over the past couple of months the club has been
working tirelessly behind the scenes to put in place
a long term development plan which Marty and Matt
both fully support and are willing to engage in.”
Buncrana Hearts will begin pre-season training in
the next couple of weeks, and Phil, Matt and Marty
are working hard preparing for this year’s Ulster
Senior League.
“Our target this season is to simply improve on last
season’s league position; we have a young but very
talented squad of players which we believe are the
future of Buncrana Hearts Football Club. Overall we
showed that in the second half of last season, we
could compete with any team in the league and we as
a club aim to build on that," added Phil. Pre-season
training starts Thursday, February 2. If any players
are interested in joining the club, call Phil on 086
