Waxwings flock to Inishowen

INISHOWEN and Derry is
seeing a proliferation of the beautiful waxwing
bird, according to local wildlife photographer,
Christine Cassidy. |
"There has been an
eruption of waxwings in Inishowen and Derry. I
thought these birds were long gone back to their
native Scandinavia until I found them on the
Racecourse Road, Derry.
"I also found a small flock in the Waterside area of
the city over this weekend," said Christine. Clearly
this colourful beauties enjoy their red berries! |
