Music fans "don't think twice" about DylanFest 14.08.14

HOT on the heels of its eighth BeatlesFest, the seaside town of Moville is now turning its attentions to its eighth DylanFest on the Lough.
Stuck Inside of Moville takes place from August 21-24 and attracts the best acts from all over Europe as well as music lovers from all over the globe.
Organiser Gerry McLaughlin said Dylan tribute bands, who now firmly mark Moville on their annual calendar of gigs, have told him they believe it's become Europe's biggest festival of Dylan music.
Moville's DylanFest takes place over four days both indoors and outdoors.
Dylan acts will play at St Eugene’s Hall, Rosato's, Maguires, Rawdon's and the Open Air Putting Green Cafe which overlooks Lough Foyle.
Italian tribute act Al Diesan playing in Rosato's, Moville, last year. DylanFest organiser Gerry McLaughlin says that despite speaking little English, Al Diesan from Sardinia, is "fluent in Dylan".
Festival goers can also look forward to some great gigs in the Redcastle Hotel - which joins the list of venues for the first time this year.
“When I came here I noticed that there was a big following of Bob Dylan in Moville. That was mainly due to a local teacher called Paddy McLaughlin, who has seen Dylan almost 40 times and who had instilled into two generations of Movillians a love of Bob Dylan and his music," said Scots-born Gerry.
"So I said, 'why not have a Dylan festival here?'"
Gerry said news of the festival has been reaching more and more Dylan fans at home and abroad as the years roll by.
"A guy flew all the way over from California for it. The festival has grown each year and Moville is now a focal point for Dylan lovers in Europe," he added.
