Letterkenny dishes up food
festival

FOODIES take note. A
major food festival is to take place in Letterkenny
this summer featuring food stalls, tastings and
celebrity chef demonstrations.
More than 100 companies will exhibit their produce
with food and beverage tasting over the course of
the two-day event.
The event will be held in the Aura Leisure Centre
from July 12- July 13, 2014. |
Chefs booked to take
part include Rachel Allen, Paul Rankin, Brian
McDermott, Ian Orr and Martin Anderson.
Many more will display their culinary skills over
the two days.
The organisers expect to attract some 10,000 people
to the festival providing a financial boost to the
local economy.
The driving force behind the event is local lads
Darren Browne and Joseph Jackson. They believe the
food festival is "necessary to promote business and
tourism in this region of the county".
