Mary's ready for final hurdle
21.05.14
LOCAL election
candidate, Mary McCauley is "ready to fight tooth
and nail" in the final push to be elected.
With just two days to polling on Friday, the Fianna
Fáil candidate reflected on a campaign she is "proud
of". |
“This has been a
hard-fought campaign. I have been canvassing since
early February so the last three months have been
hectic.
"Regardless of the result on the day, it has been an
honour to meet with the people of the Foyle and
discuss issues that are important to them.
“I hope that I have shown the electorate enough for
them to lend me their vote. I will fight for the
protection of our local services and be a strong
voice for business and families alike on Donegal
County Council," she said. |

Her colleague, Deputy
Charlie McConalogue said the mother-of-five
teenagers would be "a hard-working councillor for
the Foyle if elected".
Meanwhile, Ms McCauley said the Government must
provide adequate funding to Donegal County Council
to allow it reduce commercial rates.
She said current rates were "suffocating small
business and preventing them from expanding". |
