MINISTER of State with
special responsibility for the Gaeltacht, Joe McHugh
T.D., has been given the thumbs up from the youth
wing of his Fine Gael party.
Young Fine Gael Donegal North East congratulated the
new junior minister and wished him well in his new
role.
Young Fine Gael chairman Aaron Sweeney said: "I am
positive Joe will bring a great voice to these areas
and it will be of major benefit to the county and to
the country.
"The minister will now seek to revive the Irish
language within himself which is great motivation
for students and people like myself whose Irish
would not be the best to try and do better to learn
our native language."
Mr Sweeney added: "Joe is an experienced politician
who will bring a great standard to the areas of
which he now has responsibility.
"The departments are sure to benefit from the work
and experience (he) will bring. I extended my
congratulations to all those appointed as senior and
junior ministers and welcome the cabinet reshuffle
by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny as a much needed renewal
to Cabinet with a renewed programme for government
to continue Ireland’s economic recovery," he added. |
