INISHOWEN's clear skies
were aglow in the early hours of this morning with
the Northern Lights as these great pictures show.
The photos of the Aurora Borealis were taken at
Malin Head by Adam Rory Porter as the magnificent
display changed colour before and after moonrise.
Adam explained: "The
skies danced in green - white formations and pillars
of light to the naked eye.
"Then the camera caught even more intense greens,
pinks and even purple-blue tones. Before the moon
rose it was spectacular and even after the moon
climbed into the sky it was still amazing. All in
all, an absolutely fabulous night."
