THE search is on for
Donegal Business of the Year and companies across
the county who employ less than 50 people are being
urged to enter the competition.
“The Business of the Year Awards have been running
in Donegal now for many years and we have had some
notable winners in that time who have seen their
business grow from strength to strength. We’re
hoping that businesses operating in the county now
will have faith in themselves and will put their
best foot forward to enter the competition,” said
Michael Tunney, head of enterprise at the Local
Enterprise Office.
The awards are open to all businesses in Donegal who
employ less than 50 full-time employees and
nominations for entries are requested in four
different categories with five prizes in total up
for grabs.
The categories are: Excellence in design; Business
in operation less than 18 months (Start-Up);
Business in operation more than 18 months (business
expansion) and Export business while there will also
be an Overall Donegal Business of the Year.
There are consultancy prizes of up to €1,500 for
category winners and €2,500 for the overall winner
to assist the owner in developing the business.
Entry forms are available to download from the
Donegal Enterprise website
LocalEnterprise.ie . Completed entries must be
returned by February 27.
The winners will be presented with their awards at a
special lunchtime ceremony at the end of
Enterprising Donegal Business Week on March 27. |
