DONEGAL'S big-hearted
indoor bowling clubs have raised a whopping €16,700
for a wide range of charitable causes around the
county and North West.
The bowlers said that while Donegal is often
referred to as "the forgotten county" they've not
forgotton those "less fortunate as themselves".
The following is a list of the various local indoor
bowling clubs and the impressive amounts they raised
in recent months for their chosen charities:
Ballylennon Club raised €6700 for Buddy Bears -
helping children with cerebral palsy.
St Johnston Pres Club, Conwal Club and Dunfanaghy
Club raised €3330 for the Donegal Hospice.
St Johnston Pres raised €1700 for Little Angels
School.
Dunfanaghy and Gortahork raised €1370 for Kidney
Dialysis.
Maghery raised €1000 for the RNLI.
Laghey raised €800 for the Charity Cancer Bus.
St Johnston Pres raised €750 for Sperrin House,
Altnagelvin
Burtonport raised €700 for Dungloe Hospital Patients
Fund.
Dunfanaghy raised €350 for Mulroy Coast Guard. |
