The Colour Parade
Feel Good Fortnight opening celebration featuring a
parade through Main Street, Buncrana. All welcome to
take part or simple come along to watch!

wearing bright colours. 1.30pm Parade down Main
Street.
The Wee Libraries
Why not visit the wee libraries in Swan’s Park or at
the shorefront. Borrow books for free and donate
your own titles.
Free Wee Library Project presents Story Saturday
2 - 4.30pm at Swan’s Park, Buncrana
An afternoon of interactive storytelling, art tent
and live music. Join us to celebrate the second year
of the Free Wee Library Project. All welcome. Bring
your own picnic and blanket. Entry €5.
Wee Glee Concert
7pm at The Exchange, Castle Avenue, Buncrana
A feast of music from Buncrana’s talented “Wee Glee”
singers. Admission free - donations appreciated.
Outdoor Cinema
10pm at Swan’s Park, Buncrana
Buncrana Chamber of Commerce presents a late night
showing of “The Evil Dead” (NB: outdoor seating -
this is not a drive-in). Over 18s only. No alcohol
allowed. Tickets €10 available in advance from the
Tourist Office, Pixcam or Farren’s Garage in Railway
Road, Buncrana.

Guided Heritage Walk
2pm Leaving from The Exchange, Castle Avenue,
Buncrana
Learn about Buncrana’s rich history with West
Inishowen History and Heritage
Society. Free one hour gentle walk ending with a cup
of tea or coffee (donations welcome).
The Teddy Bears Picnic presented by iCARE and Sonas
Youth Club
3 - 5pm at the iCARE Day and Respite Centre,
Ballymacarry, Buncrana
Bring your best teddy bear, a blanket and picnic for
a fun filled afternoon with plenty of entertainment.
Classical Chillout Concer 3.45pm at The Exchange,
Castle Avenue, Buncrana
A relaxing and colourful classical 'feel good'
concert brought to you by musicians from the local
area. Not to be missed! Refreshments on arrival at
3.45. Admission free but donations appreciated.
Monday 29 June
Children’s Shadow Puppet Workshop
2pm at The Exchange, Castle Avenue, Buncrana.
Ideal for ages 6 to 10 years. Make and take home a
shadow puppet theatre. These workshops are creative
and fun. Limited places (12 per workshop) so please

Open Day at the Stables

trained facilitators will help you to tackle issues
of stress and anxiety using mindfulness techniques.

Free Expression Painting Workshops for Children.

Health and Wellbeing afternoon
4 - 8pm The Exchange, Castle Avenue, Buncrana
In support of Buncrana Breastfeeding Group. With
massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, aloe vera
facials, manicures, Bach flower remedies, baby yoga
and massage tasters and much more. Each treatment
will last 30 minutes and booking is essential for
most. There will also be tea/coffee and lots of
lovely home baked goodies (including gluten free).

Mizen-Malin Endurance Bike Trip

Welcome home the amazing cyclists who have crossed
the country in aid of Buncrana GAA and Scoil
Iosagain Special Needs as they drive through the
town en route to Malin Head! For the final leg they
will be joined by our own North Pole Cycling Club!
Buncrana GAA Sports Day
2pm at The Scarvey, Buncrana
A great family day out featuring children’s races
including 3-legged race, wellie throwing, darts and
golf challenges, tug o’ war, hurling targets
competition, sumo suits, face painting and much
more. Entry €5 per child (adults go free).
Buncrana Red Cross Annual Junior Disco

Guest appearances from last year’s Junior Miss and

Random Acts of Kindness
This is something for EVERYONE. Make someone smile
or to show unexpected kindness during Feel Good
Fortnight. Lots of ideas on the website

Forest of Intentions
Back by popular demand, visit the Forest of
Intentions at the entrance to Swan’s Park by
O’Doherty’s keep. Write a feel good message or good
intention on one of the cards provided and hang them
in a tree. Read the beautiful message left by

Main Street Art Gallery
Enjoy an exhibition of colourful artwork in shop
windows along Buncrana Main Street throughout Feel
Good Fortnight thanks to local schools, iCARE and
Buncrana Foroige.
Yarn bombing
Old and young have spent months knitting colourful
squares and crocheting butterflies and flowers to
adorn trees and poles around the area. Watch out for
the yarnbombing crew - any time… anywhere!
Guerrilla Artists
A group of artists will find imaginative ways bring
colour, beauty and life to various parts of
Inishowen throughout Feel Good Fortnight. Spot this
year’s new mural taking shape during the fortnight
and plenty more surprises!
