€50K prize fund for young
entrepreneurs

YOUNG Donegal business
owners are being urged to apply for a competition
with a prize fund of up to €20,000.
The deadline for Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur
competition - which is open to people under the age
of 30 - is next Friday July 31.
A total of €50,000 is up for grabs in Donegal
including a prize of €20,000 in the Best Established
Business category for anyone under 30 who has been
in business over two years. |

Last year’s winner in
this category, Christy Lynch of Efficient Plumbing
and Heating, said the cash prize was a fantastic
help to their business.
He said the money helped him to attend more trade
shows and do more marketing.
“Sometimes an established business might think that
it’s too time consuming to enter a contest like
this, but if you take the time it can be very
rewarding," he said.
A €10,000 investment prize is also available for the
best start-up.
