Donegal invited to open day with
Ombudsman
06.11.15
THE OMBUDSMAN and his
staff will visit Donegal next week to hear
complaints from anyone in relation to a service or
decision given by a State body including HSE, county
council or Government department.
The visit is part of a new outreach programme taking
place around the country.
Ombudsman Peter Tyndall handles complaints about the
decisions or actions of almost all public service
providers.
These include third-level education institutions,
public and private nursing homes and State bodies
including the HSE.
Staff from the Office of the Ombudsman will aim on
the day to help resolve your complaint with the
service provider in question. |

Mr Tyndall will also
host a seminar for local TDs, county councillors and
public sector officials about the complaints his
office receives in Donegal.
“I am looking forward to visiting Donegal and to
meeting with local public representatives and
officials from public service providers. All service
providers receive complaints of some description.
"It is important that providers learn from the
complaints that they, and my office, receive," said
Mr Tyndall.
The Ombudsman open day will be held at the Radisson
Blu Hotel, Letterkenny, on Thursday, November 12,
2015 from 10am- 7pm.
