THE Right2Water
Inishowen group will outline a "comprehensive
campaign strategy" for 2015 at a public meeting in
The Plaza, Buncrana this Thursday evening at 8pm.
The event follows a group steering committee meeting
last Tuesday.
The group said it would publish its strategy in a
number of weeks.
"In the meantime, the Right2Water campaign will be
meeting and having discussions with all of the
pillars of the campaign – community groups,
political parties and trade unions. The campaign
will also begin a process of seeking submissions
from individuals and anti-water charges groups
throughout the county," a group spokesperson Philip
McFadden.
"For avoidance of doubt, all peaceful protest
including water meter protest, non-payment and
peaceful disobedience, are supported by the
campaign."
Meanwhile, it will join Right2Water Ireland by
mobilising a peaceful local demonstration on
Saturday, January 31 in Letterkenny.
The protest will begin at 2pm from the 'Mr Chippy
Roundabout'. |
