Inishowen goes green for St
Patrick's Day
17.03.15
INISHOWEN will go green
today with a number of fun events for all the family
throughout the peninsula for St Patrick's Day.
Moville's colourful annual St Patrick's Day Parade
will kick off at 2.30pm featuring bands, floats and
music in the Square and at pubs throughout the town.
The annual Buncrana parade starts at 3pm at the
council offices on St Oran's Road. The participants
will follow the route via St Mary's Road to the West
End and up the Main Street past the viewing stand at
the Market Square. There are special events also
planned for towns and villages throughout the
peninsula while local businesses are expecting a big
boost from customers from the North due to the
strength of Sterling. |

Meanwhile, Derry is
also preparing for a "kaleidoscope of colour and
culture" for the annual festivities marking
Ireland's patron saint.
The city's Mayor, Cllr Brenda Stevenson, said the
planned carnival parade would embody Derry's growing
diversity while Guildhall Square would be "a hive of
activity with free, family fun entertainment". |
