MOTORCYCLISTS in
Donegal have raised 2,500 for the Lough Swilly RNLI
in Buncrana.
A formal presentation ceremony between members of
the Errigal Motor Cycle Club and RNLI crew and
officials took place last weekend at the lifeboat's
Ned's Point station.
The 2,500 was the proceeds of Errigal Motor Cycle's
Championship Race Day held at the Inishowen Quad
Safari grounds outside Buncrana.
The members, supporters and sponsors of Errigal
Motorcycle Club hosted the day in recognition of the
"exceptional" work of the RNLI community volunteers. |

presenting a cheque to the RNLI, Buncrana, for their
exceptional work and bravery on behalf of mariners
all over Ireland and UK waters.
"I am closely involved in the commercial and leisure
angling communities and see at first hand their
dedication and commitment as community volunteers.
"I am also working in the development and
manufacture of Mullion personal flotation devices at
the Sioen Ireland Factory in Gweedore (and) I know
how important the whole issue of safety and sea
survival occupies every working day of RNLI crews.
Tony also thanked members, supporters and sponsors
for their generous contributions and riders for
passing up their winning fees. He also thanked
Inishowen Quad Safari for the use of their
