Carndonagh girl rises to baking
challenge

ELISHIA Moyne, aged 15,
from Carndonagh competed in the final of the Aldi
Foroige National Junior Baking competition in Cooks
Academy in Dublin on Tuesday, November 20th and came
third.
The Carndonagh Foróige Club member began her baking
journey by competing in a local club competition,
she then won the Donegal county title and this was
followed by her winning the regional title. This led
Elishia to the All Ireland Baking Competition
semi-final which was held in Dublin on Tuesday where
she went through to the final and took third place. |

Her baking on the day
and presentation of a lemon drizzle cake was
excellent. She didn't just present her cake, she
went further by bringing a beautiful display board
with her to the competition to display the cake and
she also dressed it beautifully. The Newbridge
cutlery added that extra bit of class to a faultless
display. Behind the displayed cake she had a clear
list of ingredients, method and receipts. Carndonagh
Foróige Club are very proud of her achievement and
surprised Elishia on Wednesday by celebrating her
success. |
