hours…
30.11.18
IT'S enough to make us
weep as cash-hungry Christmas looms.
The winner of a Lotto Plus 2 prize of €250,000 has
STILL not come forward and has just a few hours left
to claim the whopping prize.
The Quick Pick ticket was bought on Friday, August
31, 2018 at Eason, Shop Street, Galway, with the
winning numbers drawn the following night.
The 90-day cut off point for claiming the cash is
5.30pm today, Friday, November 30. |

The cut off point for claiming the
€250,000 is 5.30pm today, Friday, Nov 30. |
As the clock ticks
down, here are some hints that might jog the
ticket-holder’s memory.
August 31, 2018: This was five days after Pope
Francis visited Knock in neighbouring county Mayo.
It was also the weekend of the All-Ireland football
final between Dublin and Tyrone and was the opening
day of Electric Picnic 2018.
Could the ticket-holder be a Donegal family visiting
Galway to check out accommodation ahead of the new
college year at NUIG?
A Lotto spokesperson confirmed that Eason will still
get the retailers’ bonus for selling the winning
ticket which, in this case, is €2,000.
“Unfortunately, the (€250k) prize still has not been
claimed. For any unclaimed prizes of this nature, we
always say that the deadline is the close of
business on the final day.
“Our offices close at 5.30pm but as has happened
before, should we get a call from a ticket-holder
and verify the ticket over the phone before this
cut-off point, we will always accommodate the
payment of the prize by keeping the office open
later." |
