Urris GAA Club 50th anniversary
book launch
10.12.19
IN the late summer of
1969 a group of young men in the Urris area decided
to form a Gaelic football team and club.
Fifty years have come and gone, since the humble
beginnings and that first meeting in Danny Friel’s
barn. |

Horan, Rose Kelly (Editor) and Danny Friel. |
To celebrate the 50th
Golden Jubilee a Gala Banquet was held in the
Ballyliffin Hotel on October 27th and 'From humble
beginnings to Crampsey Park', the history of the
club publication, was launched by GAA President John
Horan. The book covers the many highs of the Urris
GAA from 1969-2019 and also some of the lows over
the past fifty years. |
