Grants for Inishowen
community groups

DONEGAL County Council
received 81,759 for the COVID-19 Emergency Fund
which aims to provide support to community groups
who are directly involved in the Community Call.
Following the assessment of applications
from eligible groups funding has was awarded to 19
groups in Inishowen who are helping their community
through the provision of meals, shopping,
prescription collection, delivery services,
supporting vulnerable families and the making of PPE
equipment. Payment of 50% of the grant awarded will
issue to all successful applicants this week.
Seamus Neely, Chief Executive of Donegal County
Council, stated that in awarding the grants Donegal
County Council acknowledged the tremendous sustained
effort being made by local community and voluntary
groups across the county during this crisis. |
