Inishowen playgroup are all smiles
09.03.20
THERE were huge smiles
at Quigley’s Point Community Playgroup this week
when staff were presented with a free package of
electronic storybooks from Meantóir – an Inishowen
based company supporting early childhood services.
The hard working playgroup staff, led by Breege
McLaughlin, were rewarded for getting 100% of their
parents signed up to Mosaic – the new early
education app, from Meantóir, that connects parents
to their child’s pre-school education and care. |

Manager for Mosaic said "We felt it was important to
recognise the huge efforts that Breege and her team
have made. One of the aims of Mosaic is for the
early childhood service to provide learning and care
updates to parents in real time and Quigley’s Point
Community Playgroup were first past the post in
achieving this for the 2019/20 school year."
When asked what difference Mosaic had made to her
work this year, Breege commented "Mosaic has made me
love my job even more. I no longer have to take
paperwork home and spend hours of my own time
compiling child records. Using the app has made my
personal time my own again." She added "I want to
thank parents and families for trusting us to
deliver a brand new way of recording and documenting
children’s learning through the app."
The Mosaic app was designed and brought to the
market by Greencastle woman Avril McMonagle. This is
only one of the supports provided to early education
providers through her company Meantóir. For more
