SOCIAL enterprises are
businesses that work primarily to improve the lives of
people. The Social Enterprise Regeneration Programme (SERP)
is designed to provide supports to social enterprises in
communities, as they emerge from the challenges brought
about by the pandemic.
Supports will be offered under the scheme in three key
areas: Strategic Planning, Digital Innovation and Income
Diversification and will be made through one-to-one
support, mentoring and group training.
Shauna McClenaghan, Inishowen Development Partnership (IDP)
Joint-CEO said: “Throughout the pandemic, we continued
to support the vibrant Inishowen Social Enterprise
Network (ISEN) through our THRIVE programme. These new
supports, being made available under SERP, will be of
great benefit to social enterprises as it specifically
addresses three key priorities.
There is no doubt that Covid-19 has left a significant
impact on social enterprises across the country, but it
is time to look to the future, as we leave the worst of
those times behind. I invite all ISEN members, and any
social enterprises based in the North West area, who
require support with Strategic Planning, Digital
Innovation and Income Diversification, to make their
application as soon as possible”. |
