16.10.23
BUNCRANA Tidy Towns,
ChangeMakers Donegal and Clean Coasts invite you to a
walk and talk event 'Sustainability, the Sea & Me' at
Ludden Beach.
Thousands of visitors flock to Inishowen every year to
savour its rich culture, heritage, spectacular
mountains, beaches and rivers. Protection of North
Donegal’s rich and diverse natural environment continues
to be a number one priority for residents and
organisations alike.
To celebrate this year’s Climate Action Week, Buncrana
Tidy Towns, ChangeMakers Donegal and Clean Coasts have
joined forces for a guided walk and talk event at Ludden
Beach in Buncrana this Saturday, 21st of October, at
11am. |
Get started on your
journey towards environmental stewardship by learning
practical, everyday actions you can take at home to
protect our precious coastline by eliminating
sewage-related and plastic litter in marine habitats.
The event focuses on raising awareness about the
abundant and varied natural heritage present in
Inishowen and the steps everyone can take to safeguard
it. ChangeMakers Donegal will also share their new
Sustainability Passport with participants. |

Myra McAuliffe, Project
Coordinator of ChangeMakers Donegal said: “Climate
Action Week presents a great opportunity for us to come
together in the community and explore practical ways to
be kinder to our environment, especially the sea. Our
newly launched Sustainability Passport Programme
encourages individuals, community groups, social
enterprises, and businesses to take three actions
towards becoming more sustainable.”
