Mayor set for US awards ceremony

THE Mayor of Donegal,
Cllr Cora Harvey, is to be the keynote speaker at
the Golden Bridge Awards in Boston early next month. |
She will be accompanied
on the trip by Cllr Dessie Larkin, chairperson of
Donegal County Development Board.
On the night, Henry McGarvey, managing director of
Pramerica, will be a recipient of one of the Irish
Echo Golden Bridge Awards for 2010.
The award is designed to promote Irish-American
Partnership and is in recognition of Pramerica's
contribution to the Donegal and North West economy
since establishing in Letterkenny ten years ago.
Also among those to be honoured at the awards
ceremony, will be Rep Charles Murphy, chair of The
Ways and Means Committee in the Massachusetts State
House. Former Boston Mayor, Ray Flynn, will also be
recognised. |
