THE search continued
yesterday for missing Glengad fisherman, Robert
'Jackie' McLaughlin as the operation entered its
ninth day.
Some ten vessels from Greencastle joined around a
dozen from the Glengad area to take part in the
operation.
Greencastle Coast Guard officer-in-charge, Charlie
Cavanagh, said the search would be particularly
concentrated at low tide, around 3pm, when the
search helicopter from Sligo was also scheduled to
arrive on the scene. |

Large numbers of locals
were readying themselves again yesterday to join the
Greencastle Coast Guard land teams for a big
shoreline search on the ninth day - a significant
day in terms of people lost at sea.
Search co-ordinators were also keen to maximise
yesterday morning's bright, sunny conditions as the
forecast was expected to deteriorate by late
