A number of Inishowen
seniors groups have been allocated small grants to
fund sport and activity programmes. Carndonagh
Active Retirement Association and Clonmany Mental
Health Association will each get €365; Clonmany
Youth and Community Resource Centre (€350); Donegal
Sports Partnership (€385); Muff 'Time on Your Hands'
Active Retirement Association (€350) and Serenity
House Active Retirement Association, Moville (€415).
Senator Cecilia Keaveney welcomed the allocations,
saying: "People can and want to be active at all
ages. The funding aims to help local clubs and
organisations to increase opportunities for their
older members to actively participate in
recreational sport and a range of physical
activities." |
