Cashel trainees hit the airwaves
15.09.10
MEMBERS of Cashel na
Cor Adult Training Centre recently took part in a
unique radio production course delivered by
Inishowen Community Radio.
The eight-week course was the first of its kind in
Inishowen.
The group received training in various aspects of
radio production including interview techniques,
presentation, research and editing.
ICRfm's Marie McDonald who delivered most of the
course said the group showed enthusiasm and desire
to learn about the production of a radio show. She
said they produced their own programme which will be
broadcast soon on ICRfm. |

“Working with the group
was such a great experience and so much fun. Their
enthusiasm and eagerness to learn made it a really
enjoyable experience for me. I also have to say the
staff at the centre were fantastic and made me feel
right at home,” said Marie.
The Cashel na Cor radio show has now been entered in
the CRAOL Achievements Awards. Results will be
announced in October. "Fingers crossed the programme
will be successful," added Marie.
Produced by group participants Denise Long, Kieran
Doherty, Gerard Hannaway and Bernard Toland, the
Cashel naCor radio programme will be broadcast on
Tuesday, September 21, on the ‘Talktime’ programme
at 4.05pm. |
