A LOCAL radio station
is 'keeping it country' with a show that is growing
in popularity among listeners here and abroad.
'Charlie’s Country Kitchen' hit the air waves
earlier this year and since then the one-hour show
has been a phenomenal success, says ICR.
Hosted by Clonmany man Charlie Doherty, the show is
not only popular in Inishowen but also in many parts
of the globe with listeners tuning in to hear the
show as it streams live over the internet.
Station co-ordinator PJ McLaughlin said: “Charlie’s
taste in music has been such a hit with the
listeners that they demanded an extra hour be added
to the show.“ Now, following negotiation between
Charlie and ICR management, the longer two hour show
will start on Saturday, July 17 at 7pm. |
