WORK is expected to
begin this week on the implementation of a new
one-way traffic system for Buncrana.
The plans, announced last year, will see a number of
streets going one-way after studies carried out by
the local town council found that they aren’t wide
enough to accommodate free flowing two-way traffic
and on-street parking.
The study was promised after the introduction of the
pay and display parking system in 2007.
One-way traffic flow will be introduced on Nailor’s
Row, Castle Avenue, St Columba’s Avenue, Rockfield
Terrace, Crana Road, Church Street, Grianán Park,
Ferris Lane, Maginn Avenue and Millbrae. |
