Five-star review for Rosato's 25.06.10

by Eamonn McDermott, Inishowen Independent

ROSATO’S pub in Moville has been given a fantastic five-star rating in the Sunday World's Pub Spy review.
The bar was one of four Inishowen pubs that featured in the long-running series in the Dublin newspaper.
Pub Spy visits bars all around the country and the establishments are rated on friendliness, service, cleanliness and a host of other features.
In dealing with Rosato’s, Pub Spy wrote: "Here is a pub that at first glance is authentic and spotless. It is shining like a new pin from top to bottom."
It was also found that Rosato’s had ‘retained that olde worlde pub charm’.
The review went on: “The layout is perfect and there are at least three different sections, and while they are not far apart, they are each to their own.”
Another Inishowen pub, to receive a good rating, was the Century Bar in Carndonagh.

Giving it a four-star rating, the reviewers said: “There is a great atmosphere in this pub and it has character in abundance. The split-level layout is very attractive. There is a lot of timber around but it's all so nicely done and laid out.”
The Squealin’ Pig in Muff also earned a coveted four-star rating with the bar staff receiving praise for being ‘on his toes’ and ensuring service was prompt and friendly.
The layout also came in for attention with the reviewer noting: “The lacquered flagstone floor caught our eye, as did the fireplace, which is similarly turned out in this lovely pub where we found a nice atmosphere.”
Finally, the Persian Bar in Carndonagh received a three-star rating with the staff in particular coming in for praise: “The staff, one female and a young chap, were just brilliant and there was no delay with our order even though they were busy.”
