David's 'explosive' WWII story 13.05.10

OUR exclusive story last week about an Inishowen man's experience of putting a WWII bomb up for sale on the internet turned out to be 'explosive' - in the media sense of the word.
The story of David McDaid from Glengad and the old German missile he posted on DoneDeal.ie was carried in a number of Irish tabloid newspapers.
There was also a scramble for interviews with David from local and national radio and TV stations including Newstalk and TV3.
Meanwhile, the story has been carried in the London Independent and publications as far afield as the New Zealand Herald. It has also been picked up by countless online sources throughout the world.
Linda McGrory of InishowenNews.com who wrote the original story, said she was amazed at the reaction.
"Clearly, David's experience captured the imagination and the interest continues. I'm still receiving calls from people trying to get an interview with him."

follow-up interviews, yesterday said he was happy the story had put the record straight. But he said he was not interested in making any further comment on the incident.
