Buncrana man seeks Sinn Féin seat 19.03.09

BUNCRANA man Ciaran McGuinness will be unveiled tonight as a candidate to fight for a seat on Buncrana Town Council for Sinn Féin.
The selection convention will take place this evening at 7.30pm in the Lake of Shadows Hotel when Mr McGuinness, 31, will be endorsed to join sitting town councillors Daren Lalor and Pádraig MacLochlainn on the ticket.
Cllr Daren Lalor said: "Our party members and supporters would be confident of seat gains on Donegal County Council and Buncrana Town Council locally. in the 2007 General Election, our Sinn Féin candidate, Pádraig Mac Lochlainn received 1700 votes in the Buncrana parish and 1200 votes in the town council area so it is clear that we have a strong chance of winning another seat.
"We have maintained an advice centre/office in the town for nearly two years as part of our service
