ICRfm goes a roving in Moville 11.03.09

INISHOWEN Community Radio (ICRfm) will be celebrating more than the shamrock when they take to the streets of Moville next Tuesday.
St Patrick's Day will see the first outing of the local station's Outcast Broadcast Unit (OBU) complete with its state-of-the-art equipment.
ICRfm presenters Trudy McLaughlin and Eddie Dee will be live from Moville, broadcasting from the Cosy Cottage cafe. They would like as many people as possible to pop in on the day to enjoy the craic and get in with a chance of winning some great prizes. Seamus McCarron will be in charge of operations back at the studio in Carndonagh.
“The OBU is a tremendous addition to our facilities and will increase the stations range of broadcasting opportunities and ways of engaging with our communities,” said station manager, Jim Doherty. “The equipment is the best modern technology can provide and we greatly appreciate the support of Donegal County Council’s Community and Enterprise Development Fund Initiative who helped fund it.”
Eddie said the live broadcast, to include many interviews with
locals in his home town, would be "a first" for him. Trudy is also hoping to meet lots of people on the day.
“We’re looking for people to come up for a chat with us, send greetings, make requests and generally get involved in the show,” she said. Anyone who can’t make it to Moville on the day can still send messages and requests by contacting the station by email at studio@icrfm.ie or texting 086 831000. The show will be live this St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17, 2009, from 1pm-3pm and will cover all the fun and frolics from Moville’s annual parade.
ICRfm broadcasts on 105fm and 107.6 fm or online at www.icrfm.ie .
