Singer to help needy families

POPULAR Irish
entertainer James Kilbane is to perform a concert
this month to raise money for needy families in
Burt, Inch and Fahan. The gospel and country singer
will be the star attraction at a concert on
Thursday, October 29, in support of the local branch
of the St Vincent De Paul.
"Winter is seeing many more families and individuals
in need of help from the SVP," said a spokesperson
for the local committee. Extra demands on many
families’ and people's finances means added pressure
on SVP resources. |

"The aid will be made
available to families with students in school and
college, families struggling financially,
individuals and the elderly. Many families and
elderly are also experiencing difficulty with the
cost of heating oil and fuel this year, creating
extra pressure on the resources of SVP this winter,"
added the spokesperson. The show will take place in
An Grianan Hotel, Burt, and fans can look forward to
an enjoyable night with almost three hours of
quality gospel, country and Irish music.
