POP star Nadine Coyle
will join volunteers, athletes and firemen in her
native city of Derry this Saturday, December 5th, in a bid to break
the Guinness World Record for planting trees.
The Girls Aloud singer and entrepreneur joined by
many other men, women and children will attempt to
break the record for the most trees planted on one
site in an hour.
Derry Mayor, Cllr Paul Fleming encouraged local
people to come out and support the event at Gransha
Park at 11am. The challenge is part of National Tree
Week and the BBC’s Breathing Places Tree O’Clock
Campaign. The target is 23,000 trees to be planted
by 100 people in one hour. |
