DANIEL O’Donnell will play a special one-off concert
in St Aengus’ Church, Burt, next April. O’Donnell,
who has sold more than 10 million records worldwide,
made the announcement at last week’s spectacular
Christmas concert in Letterkenny’s Aura Centre. The
concert will be on Monday, 20 April and tickets go
on sale on 24 January. With just 550 seats in the
Church, the tickets are sure to sell out in double
quick time. |

His manager Sean Reilly
told the Inishowen Independent that Daniel has
promised local curate Fr Michael Porter more than a
year ago that he would play a concert in Burt
chapel.
“Daniel has played in many churches over the years,
but never in St Aengus’ in Burt,” Reilly said.
“Daniel is taking five months off at the start of
next year, but he’s breaking from that to do this
concert and a couple of other fundraisers.” |
“It will be a concert
of inspirational, sacred music,” Reilly continued.
“Daniel has recorded three albums of inspirational
music so he will have a big repertoire to draw on.”
Among Daniel’s 30+ albums are ‘Songs of Faith’ and
‘Songs of Inspiration/I Believe’, where he covers
songs such as ‘The Old Rugged Cross’, ‘How Great
Thou Art’ and ‘Amazing Grace’. |
