BUNCRANA is set to host
a special charity gala to remember local teenager
Darren McDonagh who died in May after a brave battle
with muscular dystrophy.
'A Night to Remember, A Life to Remember' on
Saturday, November 22 at the Inishowen Gateway
Hotel, will be a warm tribute to Darren with
proceeds going to help other muscular dystrophy
sufferers.
The highlight of the night will be the legendary
Drifters, who will delight the guests with their
timeless classics including 'Saturday Night at the
Movies' and 'Under the Boardwalk'. |

The gala is being
organised by friends of the McDonagh family,
entertainments promoter Joe Gallagher and Buncrana
businessman Francis Callaghan. The two who have
worked together on a number of successful charity
galas, wanted to put a special night together in
memory of the popular local teenager.
Guests on the night will also be treated to a gala
four-course round table dinner. "It's an honour to
be involved in this event which will certainly be a
night to remember in honour of Darren who we all
miss so much," said Francis. |
He went on to thank a
number of television celebrity guests who have
agreed to make a guest appearance on the night.
There are a limited number of tickets available
priced at €50 or a table of 10 at €500. Tickets are
available from Digitalfone 02 at Park Lane,
Buncrana, or Tom McDonagh on 087 7722776. |
