GARDAI yesterday
praised schoolchildren for having their seatbelts on
when the bus in which they were travelling collided
with a car in Burt.
Gardai are investigating the accident that took
place in the Bohillion area as the Lough Swilly bus
was taking the pupils to school.
All six children onboard the bus escaped injury. The
bus driver was also uninjured but the driver of the
car was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital as a
precaution. Gardaí confirmed there was minor
material damage done to the vehicles. A spokesperson
confirmed the children were all seatbelted at the
time. He said the driver and the children had "set a
good example" to others. The children were taken
home by their parents after the accident which is
under Garda investigation. |
