Have you a great idea for radio
09.06.08
INISHOWEN Community
Radio is inviting people around the peninsula to
come forward with ideas for radio programmes.
From documentary to drama, history to horror, ICRfm
would like people to let them know the kind of shows
they would like to hear on the local station and
become involved in their production. |
The initiative is being
funded through the Sound and Vision Scheme run by
the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland. It actively
encourages the production of new, quality radio and
television programmes on the subjects of Irish |
|
heritage and
experience. ICRfm has been highly successful in all
rounds of funding so far with programmes such as
'Let’s Talk Old Times', 'Knock – The Hill Of Mary'
and 'Ghostly Encounters' being funded. The next
round opens later this month and ICRfm would like to
invite anyone with a programme idea that fits the
scheme to attend a meeting next week.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 17 at
7pm at the ICRfm studios in Pound Street, Carndonagh.
More details on the types of programme that can be
funded can be found on the website
www.bci.ie and by
following the link for the Broadcasting Funding
Scheme.
Anyone with an idea for a programme or a script for
a radio drama etc., should get in touch. No previous
experience is necessary as the ICR staff and
volunteers are on hand to train and give help. Even
if you have an idea but cannot make the meeting on
the night, please phone Emma at the station on (074)
93 29105 or email
emma.mcdermott@icrfm.ie . |
