€50,000 award for Fort

TWO Inishowen groups
have been awarded a total of nearly €60,000 to
upgrade their electricity supplies.
Fort Dunree Military Museum has been awarded €51,041
while Craig Na Hulla Design, Dunegard, Malin Head,
will get €8,844. |

The funding is from the
Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs
under the CLÁR programme.
It is part of a total allocation of €233,909 for
conversion of businesses, sports clubs and community
centres from single to three-phase electricity.
Sixteen businesses in the CLÁR areas of Cavan, Cork,
Donegal, |
Galway, Kerry, Leitrim,
Limerick, Longford, Mayo and Monaghan were funded in
the latest round.
Minister Éamon Ó Cuív T.D., said the conversion
benefited not only the individual applicants but
also the areas in general.
"They serve as commercial and infrastructural
assets, enhancing the level of access to goods and
services in CLÁR areas," he said. |
