A total of 12 people
were arrested throughout Inishowen at the weekend
for a number of offences including drugs possession
and public disorder.
Gardai in Buncrana said the good weather, which
brought many visitors to the region, resulted in a
busier than usual few days.
Among the arrests were seven for public disorder,
the majority of which were made in the Buncrana
area.
"We made three arrests for dangerous driving - two
in Carndonagh and one in Buncrana," said a Garda
spokesperson.
One arrest was made in the Moville area for alleged
possession of ecstasy while a person was arrested in
Buncrana on suspicion of stealing a bottle of
champagne from a supermarket.
Despite an increase in the number of cars on the
road, there were no traffic accidents, Gardai said.
