Deputy Keaveney, who is chair of the Oireachtas
committee for rural affairs said: The value of the
work of these groups and their initiative in
pursuing the various funding pots available from
central government departments remains an important
part of the development of rural society, as does
the work of the ministers who make these funds
available.
I will continue to work with the groups in my
constituency to ensure that maximum resources are
allocated to Inishowen, she said.
The Moville-based deputy said she acknowledged that
some groups would be disappointed but she would
continue to work with them to ascertain how their
