Chance to own racehorse
for a year

GUESTS at a charity
gala ball in Buncrana will get the chance to bid for
the lease on a racehorse recently bought at Goffs
Bloodstock Sales.
The unique auction lot will go under the hammer at
the O2 Make A Wish Oscars Ball on November 23 and
will give the successful bidder all the excitement
of owning a racehorse for a year without any of the
hassle or cost. |

The one-year lease was
kindly donated to the charity by the horse's owners.
Make a Wish Foundation co-ordinator for the North
West, Francis Callaghan said he was delighted with
the donation. "The horse was purchased recently at
Goffs Bloodstock Sales and is sure to create a lot
of interest from |
racing punters far and
wide," he said.
"The lucky purchaser or syndicate will get the lease
of the racehorse for the year, the right to name the
horse and choose its colours. The purchaser will
also receive all the horse's winnings for the year
and get owners enclosure invites to wherever the
horse is running," he explained.
And the best part? All the stable fees and costs
will be paid by the horse's owners.
As the auction lot is expected to generate much
interest from people who may not be attending the
ball, telephone bids will be accepted from

The eagerly-awaited ball is already sold out with
420 people due to attend. A further 14 auction lots
will also be up for grabs as part of the night's
packed programme of entertainment that will also
