THE SAD passing has
taken place after a long illness of Kathleen Hegarty,
mother of Inishowen Councillor Marian McDonald.

Carndonagh Community Hospital for more than two
years. |
She died at the
hospital around 7am on Wednesday morning.
A mother-of-five, she was predeceased by her husband
George, a Foyle pilot, 36 years ago.
A native of Shroove, Kathleen (nee O'Donnell) was
described as a very quiet, unassuming lady "who led
life to the full".

They were second to none," she said.
