Inishowen sizzles in 25 °C
heat
04.05.07
Inishowen was drenched
in glorious sunshine yesterday with temperatures
topping a scorching 25 °C.
These are good days for the peninsula's gardeners,
ice cream sellers and sun bathers - not so good for
shifting those umbrellas. |
|
And it's looking bright
and sunny - although not as hot - for the May Day
Bank Holiday.
Today will be bright and sunny after an early mist
with the fog burning off in the morning sunshine.
According to forecasters, it will be warm inland
although a little cooler along the coast. Maximum
temperatures today will |
be around 20 °C.
Meanwhile, Bank Holidaymakers can expect another
lovely day on Saturday albeit with a little more
cloud.
An overnight spell of rain on Sunday will clear in
the afternoon to leave sunny spells, showers and
fresh south-westerly winds. Monday's outlook is a
similar picture. |
Meanwhile, a survey
released yesterday shows that the early onset of
Summer has resulted in soaring sales of flowers,
containers and hanging baskets.
It also reveals that people are planning to spend
some of their SSIA savings on improving the look and
layout of their gardens. |
