RESIDENTS in Moville
who complained their quality of life was spoiled by
stinking odours from a nearby sewage plant have at
last found the sweet smell of success.
A long standing sewage problem for the residents of
Rosebank has finally been resolved. |

MacLochlainn yesterday welcomed the news that the
homeowners in the local development would no longer
have to endure "unbearable smells" wafting into
their homes.
"The electricity supply to the small sewage plant on
the development was reconnected last week. Coal Port

in Rosebank, have
agreed to pay for the electricity supply for the
foreseeable future," said Cllr. MacLochlainn.
"I would like to commend three groups for their role
in resolving this critical issue. Firstly, the
Rosebank Residents' Committee who have vigorously
pursued this matter for a number of years now.
"Secondly, Martin Flanagan and the team in the
estate management section of Donegal County Council
and thirdly Coal Port Developments for agreeing to
pay the electricity to the sewage plant," added the
local councillor.
He said the residents had to endure the problem for
too long.
"Residents in Rosebank have had to endure an
unbearable smell at times from this sewage plant and
they felt very much abandoned by the system after
paying the market price for their homes.
"They raised this issue with our local Sinn Féin
cumann on numerous occasions and I am just delighted
for them that this issue is now resolved," added
Cllr. MacLochlainn. |
