Plaza packed for Buncrana
Trade Show
17.10.07
THE Plaza in Buncrana
was buzzing at the weekend during the local Chamber
of Commerce Trade Show.
Nearly 2,000 people turned out for the two-day event
which included nearly 60 businesses exhibiting their
goods, products and services. |
The former ballroom
including its horseshoe balcony, the main hall and
smaller ballroom were bedecked from floor to ceiling
with colourful and eye-catching stands while the
cafe kept everyone refreshed with teas, coffees and
homemade bakes.
Buncrana Chamber of Commerce manager Deirdre Bradley
said she was delighted with the success |

of this year's event,
the second only to last year's inaugural fair. She
said 30 businesses were so happy with the event they
had already booked their stands for next year's
show.
"We are really pleased with how it all went. The
stands were magnificent and the Plaza was the
perfect venue - full of character and plenty of
space," said Deirdre.
She praised the traders who took part and the huge
number of visitors who travelled from all over the
North West.
"It wouldn't happen without the huge effort the
traders put into their stands and all the people who
come out to support the local business community."
The chamber manager said the show would soon become
a Donegal-wide event.
"We had exhibitors from Newtown, Letterkenny and
from as far away as Ballyshannon who were delighted
with the show. It will become the Donegal Trade Show
before long," she added.
